Top Suburbs to Reside in Indiana

While big cities offer vibrant nightlife, many millennials are increasingly drawn to the suburbs for better convenience and affordability as they enter their homebuying stage. The trend of moving away from large urban areas started before the COVID-19 pandemic, which altered work dynamics and heated the housing market.

For example, outside of Denver, lesser-known suburbs like Boulder have become incredibly popular among young families, ranking as some of the top destinations for relocating millennials in 2023. Businesses are also reacting, with many setting up office satellites and headquarters in suburban regions.

A study by Stacker identified Indiana’s best suburbs to live in, using information from Niche’s 2024 Best Places to Live. Niche evaluates neighborhoods based on factors like living costs, education levels, home prices, and school quality.
